It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to YA-Ya’s Place Family Day Care Center, where new beginnings is a way of starting over. At Ya-Ya’s Place Family Daycare Center, we bring new talents and new ideas to the table with giving families access to a broad educational process. All children can learn; and we want to make a difference in every child’s life. The staff here at Ya-Ya’s Place Family Daycare puts in a lot of work to encourage and engage your children in education and care. Please know that with up and coming trainings and in-service days, we never expect to not know how children learn and cope with day to day issues in their lives. I hope that nothing is taken for granted and that you respect and honor our work. We love every child that comes through the door and we prepare each parent daily throughout the educational process.
Homework
Homework is handed out on Monday and is returned on Fridays. We encourage our children to learn with us during the day and expect you (the Parents) to review and read your children’s lessons and prepare them for upcoming lessons. This also gives you an opportunity to know what your children are learning during school hours. All work is expected to be turned in no excuses.
Summer Schedules
Your children will work during the school year. However, during the summer months curriculum will change over to field trips, arts and crafts, movies, ice cream, and outdoor play/free play. The teaching staff will continue to educate your children in class and review with enrichment daily. Parents are responsible to aid in this educational process; we expect nothing less at our family daycare Philadelphia .
Learning
I provide a rich learning environment with curricula that is developmentally appropriate to the specific ages of the children in my care. Flexible learning routines are put into place at the family daycare center for children of all ages to learn at their own pace. I strongly believe that learning happens through play. Learning and exploring are hands-on and are facilitated through interest areas.
